Sales Executive Job Summary

As a Sales Executive within this highly regarded Edtech organisation you will join this successful business on their mission to help every student achieve more. 

You will be a key member of a new, highly productive, collaborative, and efficient direct sales team. The work is highly rewarding, within a positive driven working environment. As an experienced sales executive you will be able to find and screen potential customers who can benefit from the Company’s products and services. You will also be required to deal with inbound leads and generate your own leads by making a high volume of calls to schools and Multi Academy Trusts.

About us

Pupil Progress was started six years ago by two experienced secondary school senior leaders with a mission to transform the way data is used in education. 

We have built a company with a web-based platform that supports thousands of teachers in all aspects of assessment tracking, reporting and analysis. We give teachers confidence in their data so they can make the decisions to improve their teaching strategies and unlock their students’ potential.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Lead generation - making a high volume of calls in order to approach and communicate with external senior stakeholders.
  • Booking in and eventually delivering online product demonstrations.
  • Working across the wider company, including the customer success teams, to maximise revenue.

Requirements:

What you’ll need:

  • 2-3 years of sales experience, with a history of exceeding sales targets preferable.
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email.
  • Strong IT skills and attention to deal with CRM systems.
  • Telesales, SaaS experience desirable.
  • A resilient nature – able to deal with rejection on calls and move on quickly, achieving a high volume of calls. 
  • Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong desire and ability to progress career.
  • Good knowledge of the UK Education sector is desirable, with experience of working within the EdTech or Education sector preferred.

Salary range:

  • Competitive basic salary circa £21,000 - £30,000 depending on experience. Commission and bonus structures are both possibilities as the role progresses and will be discussed at interview.

Recruitment process

This role will be recruited remotely, using Zoom video conferencing to host a 2-stage interview process. A face to face interview will be required for the final stage of the hiring process. 

The hiring process may also include a task that replicates activities that will be within your core responsibilities.
